College help: New York University VS Colombia University

College help: New York University VS Colombia University?
I just figured out I want to major in political science ( in further hopes of working for the UN one day) and I was wondering which one of these colleges is better, for that major. I am hoping to also take some cultural or humane classes too. I am only asking for these two because they are high ranked, and I want to go to college in new york. So which one? Thanks ahead of time! sorry Columbia*** Big spelling error! I am fluent in Albanian and English. Somewhat spanish.

Go to the one that admits you. If you are admitted to both, visit both campuses. Columbia is an Ivy, but NYU's education abroad program is probably more extensive than Columbia's. It is almost impossible to get a job with the UN if your only citizenship is USA. A double major in economics and international relations is probably better preparation for work for the UN or similar organizations. You will also need a master's degree in one of those subjects. Political science is too theoretical to be of much value. An economics degree will lead to other job opportunities if you do not find a job with an international organization. If you want to work for the UN, you need to be fluent in French (spoken and written) and in another official UN language in addition to English. You will also need the languages for work with other international organizations.
