I am a leaving Certificate student in Ireland and recently I've been thinking about going to a college in New York. Can somebody please tell me what i would need to actually have a chance at this, other than high points in the Leaving Cert. Would I need some kinda of a Visa to stay there?

yea a student visa. u can probably get that here once you get admission. there are so many good ny schools from cornell to nyu.

I agree w previous post that applying is first, then the school should have assistance for you with the rest.
