What's a good college in New York City for fashion and writing?
I want to major in fashion merchandising and journalism but I can't seem to find one in New York City that offers both. Any suggestions on this will be appreciated.

You should look into F.I.T, The Art Institute, NYU, or you can always major in journalism and get an associates degree for fashion merchandising. There are school out there but we really have to look. The Academy of Art University is really good too and offers both I belive, but its in the west coast San Fransico, CA. The is a lot of good schools for that in california too like FIDM But just keep looking hope I helped Good luck I was looking into that too lol

When living on a college campus in New York by law what are the rules and regulations that allowed a RA?
When living on a college campus in New York by law what are the rules and regulations that allowed a RA to key into your bed room? I am a student living on campus having problems with my RA because she feels as though she has all rights and duties to key into our bedrooms whenever she feels like it. I know my rights as a citizen but what are my actual rights as a student living on campus?

Answer 1 :
If it is a private college, then the staff has the right to enter your room whenever they want, subject to the university's policies. If it is a public college, then normal laws would apply, meaning that she needs either 1) probable cause that you have done something wrong, 2) an emergency like a fire drill, or 3) a roommate's permission. Generally the rules are very broad. RAs can key in to check on a resident that has been drinking, for example. But if she is randomly keying in for no reason, then you should file a complaint with the director or whoever supervises the RAs.

In New York, can you still go to college with a "local" rather than a "Regents" diploma

In New York, can you still go to college with a "local" rather than a "Regents" diploma?
My son is a Special Education student. He is allowed to take a test called a "Regents Competency Exam" (RCT). This allows him to graduate with a local diploma by getting only a grade of 55 or above on the RCT. But, my concern is whether he can still be accepted in college without a Regents diploma, only a local one. Do you know if New York state colleges accept local diplomas for admission?

Answer 1 :
He will be able to get into college. He might have to go to a community college first and then transfer to a 4 year school.
Answer 2 :
Some Community Colleges do accept local diplomas but I would advise him to stay away from academic subjects./
