Does anybody know the admission requirements, for the City College of New York in CUNY

Does anybody know the admission requirements, for the City College of New York in CUNY?
I'm thinking about applying to the City College of New York, in CUNY, but I don't know their requirements.

It's not too hard to get into. There are a lot of cuny schools such as College of staten Island, Baruch, Hunter Kingsborough, etc... Some are harder to get into than others, but all of them are fairly easy to get into. Check the cuny website. I think it's cuny.edu. Also check collegeboard .com and type Baruch or Cuny.

3.0 GPA, 1600 SATS, with the CUNY app you can apply to 6 CUNY schools at once, so you;re bound to hit one of them.

Boston or New York City for a college student

Boston or New York City for a college student?
I'm going to start applying to colleges soon. Now, I have two colleges in mind. One is in Boston, the other is in New York City. I like both of these cities but I'm leaning towards NYC. I love urban areas that are busy and full of life. What do you think? Which is a better environment for me as a new college student?

Both are hustling and bustling cities with great colleges/universities. I'm assuming that you want to attend somewhere in NYC because upstate NY is boring. I live in NY and it's exciting, but you have to consider how you're going to dorm because it gets expensive in Manhattan. Boston has a lot of history behind it so you can attend a city that's both modern and reminiscent of old-age America. There's two great aspects right in that one city. Anyhow, both cities are great but you need to know exactly what kind of a college you want to go to. Are you looking for private or public? Do you want a normal college, or a huge university?

I would go with Boston. Boston is a very young and vibrant city, and although Boston is a very large city it almost seems as if everyone knows everyone. The night life in Boston is awesome! Boston is very exciting and you meet all sorts of different people from almost everywhere on earth.

Whichever offers the most financial aid. Either way, both cities are great for college students, with abundant work and internship opportunities. Go to the one that offers you the most money to attend. That way, you'll be able to graduate without lots of student loan debt.

The Boston metropolitan area is hands down the biggest college student population in the country with many of the top colleges. You cannot beat Boston for a college town. I'm planning to go to college in New York and was wondering what is the best community college

I'm planning to go to college in New York and was wondering what is the best community college!?

Err....are you a New York resident? If you are, you recieve a discount on State (SUNY) colleges. If you are NYC resident as well, you get discount on City (CUNY) colleges. PS, NYU isn't a CUNY college, to all those people who are like, "I'm going to move to NYC and go to NYU". LOL. Most SUNY Colleges are located Upstate and in the middle of nowhere. Besides maybe the Catskills. Or farms. There's Buffalo State College. That's a party school, since there's nothing else to do. Stoneybrook seems the nicest, it's in Long Island. Here's the list of CUNY schools. http://portal.cuny.edu/portal/site/cuny/index.jsp?front_door=true They're not that difficult to get into, at least to local residents. I plan on going to one (All I can afford) Community colleges are a great alternative for people who can't afford Private Universities or for people who don't want to go away.
