What are some good colleges in New York City? How much is the tuition? And how do you get scholarships? I want to study art or graphic design in New York but I'm from out of state so it would be REALLY expensive, and I probably wouldn't be able to go without a scholarship. Please be as detailed and give as much info as possible, thank you.

NYU and Columbia are the best! NYU is near 50,000 if you include everything such as tuition, room, and board, and etc. It is about 36,000 without all the extras. NYU is really bad about financial aid, and unless you are really poor, you wont get much. My father was talking to a middle class family a couple a weeks ago, and their daughter got in for dance. NYU only gave her about a 3,000 dollar scholarship. It is funny because I really want to go to NYU still, but could be facing over 100k of loans. Columbia is better, but it just as expensive but will give you scholarships if you are very smart. Columbia is also a Ivy, which NYU is not. If you want cheaper schools, I would check the Suny's which stands for the state university of New York. Sonny Brook (part of Suny), is one of the better schools located in Long Island.
