Hi. I live in Barbados and I'm trying to get into Borough of Manhattan Community College in New York. If I apply as an international student the tuition fee is roughly about $12,600 US per semester converted to Barbados Dollars it would be $25000 Barbados Dollars per semester. The cost of tuition as a resident is $3150 per semester which is way cheaper than the $25000 mentioned above. Can I obtain a Green Card then make my way into college paying a cheaper tuition fee?

Answer 1 :
Not possible at all, or else every foreign student on a student visa would have done it already. The easiest/most common ways to get a green card is through sponsorship by a family member or an employer. You can't just apply on your own, someone has to file the petition for you.
Answer 2 :
No ..you cannot just get a green card
Answer 3 :
No, sorry it does not work that way. If you enter for educational purposes, you can not apply for a green card.
Answer 4 :
Not unless you have an immediate family member or an employer who can petition for you.
