What's a good college in New York City that's not a university

What's a good college in New York City that's not a university?
I'm going to graduate community college with near a 3.0 after this semester. What are decent colleges in New York City that would accept a transcript like that? I do well in classes but I do poorly in some of them. If this makes any sense, I want to go to an average school in the city. What schools would be my best bet? Is it smart to get an apartment and go to school or just live on campus??

Consider Touro College, Manhattan College, St. John's, etc. But why are you fixated on staying within New York City? If you're going to live on campus, you can go anywhere in the country. I know people from NYC think the rest of the world doesn't exist, but seriously, don't you think it would help you to see what the rest of the world is about?

I'll recommend the obvious ones: Columbia University and New York University. But it depends on your GPA and SAT/ACT scores. If you find those to be out of your reach, I would look at Pace University, Hofstra, and perhaps Fordham.
