Answer 1 :
are you serious, under $1,1oo, good luck, well, maybe, but a very thin maybe, you should try the North Bronx and lower Westchester, Yonkers, the east Bronx, places like Woodlawn, Riverdale, Westchester Square area, these all have apts here and there, some of the neighborhoods are better than others, Woodlawn is nice, but probably overated, the community is irish, others too, but irish mostly, now a days, on the other side of the Bronx river is Wakefield, it is Black, Jamacian, mostly, some nice, some not, private homes and apt houses abound in these areas, Yonkers is nice, you commute to the city from these areas, $2.oo for the bus, and $2.oo for the train, or something like that, commuter trains cost more, move out of the city forty miles, sometimes it is not as expensive, and then you can try towns in New Jersey, commute time an hour and a half, go exploring, Queens, these have good places, Bayside, nicer neighborhoods, anyway, good luck, you might find an apt in a not so nice place for about a third of what you are willing to spend, probably 7 or 8 is more like it, anyway, i do not think there is anything like tht in Manhattan, so have a good day,
Answer 2 :
most grads live downtown in the village. artsy folk, alternate lifestyle, philosophical, poets, beer guzzlers and grass smokers. however, the new smart trend is to move to brooklyn where rent is about 60% cheaper and still only a $2.00 subway ride away from manhattan

Answer 1 :
Marist College
Answer 2 :
As far as the overall quality of the program, I would say that Cornell is tops in NYS. Cornell would be tops for class size and professors, NYU is tops for location while Queens College would rank on top as far as cost is concerned. One thing to keep in mind, Cornell offers need based financial aid. If you qualify, Cornell could also be the best deal.

Better law college? New York University or Columbia University

Better law college? New York University or Columbia University?
Hey guys. I am a junior at high school and my grades are 90+ in all my classes. I know for a fact that I want a law degree. But I picked two of the hundreds of possibilities out there. I know for a fact I want to go to one of them but I don't know which one. I want to know which is a better college for law and what the tuition will be. Thank you.

It seems a bit early to be selecting which law school to attend, much less being so determined on law as a career. You have a lot of educational and life experience ahead of you. That may change your professional objective. Keep an open mind. You'll have to complete four years of college before entering law school. You will have to accomplish a very high grade point average to be considered for any decent law school. If you are then still determined to choose between NYU law and Columbia law, I can tell you that, at least now, Columbia is the more prestigious. Your performance while a law student is much more important than the reputation of either school. You should be aware that top national law firms hire only from the top 5% of the senior class. I've checked and found that the current tuition for NYU law is $44,820 per year and at Columbia it is $46,332. As you know, law school is a three year undertaking, so multiply those yearly figures by three to find the total. That is for tuition only. You can expect additional fees of around $1,500 per year and book purchases of around $1,200 per year. None of those numbers includes rent or dorm fees, food, entertainment and travel. Tuition has been increasing by 7% or more every year, so, by the time you are ready for law school, you can anticipate paying a lot more. Please do some research into what lawyers actually do every day, how many hours they are required to work and what their lives away from work are like. Research has shown that a much higher percentage of lawyers suffer from depression than other professionals. Good luck to you.
