Answer 1 :
cornell the university of albany hunter all in n.y.
Answer 2 :
Stony Brook University. Stony Brook is also home to Stony Brook Medical Center, the biggest hospital in Suffolk County, and one of the biggest hospital in the NYC region. Best part about Stony Brook is the excellent science and medical programs plus it's a New York State school. If you have the money, you should try Columbia or NYU in NYC, but Stony Brook is almost on the same level as those two private universities.
Answer 3 :
Don't forget the University of Rochester

Is Bard High School Early College (New York) a good school? Is the neighborhood good

Is Bard High School Early College (New York) a good school? Is the neighborhood good?
The school looks really good academically, but I don't know about the neighborhood. It's located in the lower east side of Manhattan New York. I've looked up reviews about the school and it was described as "high pressured and accelerated." I've found many stories of students transferring out because they couldn't make it. Is this true? Is this school really that hard?

Currently I am a sophmore at Bard, and truthfully it is very hard, but if you put in the time and dedication you will recieve something great in return. I personally have never thought about transferring, and I only know two students that transferred out from my grade. The teachers are incredible! Most of them have PHDs and are extremely nice and helpful. The atmosphere is great, thus making the classes amzaing! I actually like waking up and knowing that I have school. The neighborhood is not horrible, walk to and from school with friends and you'll be fine. Bard is a great school, and if you get in, I trust you that you'll be happy!

How can I transfer from a community college in CA and go to NYU, or any other prestigious college in New York

How can I transfer from a community college in CA and go to NYU, or any other prestigious college in New York?
I go to El Camino and I'm trying really hard to get a 4.0, haha it's like really my goal. What else do I have to do achieve this goal? Also should I maybe go to a community college in new york to lower the tuition? You know, to gain citizenship in New York? I don't know, I just had an epiphany today and decided I wanted to do this, so any advice is welcome since I don't know anything. :)

Answer 1 :
You will be an out of state student in New York so even at a community college, the tuition is much higher. Your parents have to move to New York to get residency or you have to be over 24 to get residency on your own. Your epiphany is an expensive one.
Answer 2 :
Hun, it is really hard to transfer from CC to any college, but NYU or any other top school is going to be so much more difficult. They already only accept a few students, and they accept even less as transfers. Also, many of your credits may not transfer, considering that NYU is much more difficult than community college. It won't hurt to apply as a transfer, but you should definitely have less prestigious "safety" schools And I think you have to have a permanent residence in NY to get in-state tuition and you have to be legally an adult.

Answer 1 :
Minimum of 3.5 GPA
Answer 2 :
Depends on where you want to go. NYU, they have to be pretty darn good, above a 3.5 GPA I believe. Other state colleges I'm not sure. But you do have to know something about butt rockets.
Answer 3 :
Right now, it depends what grade you are in. In New York, you might have to have the average grades. I would suggest not to have any failing grades. Your yearly test would probably be the biggest thing to focus on (and the rest of your tests.) Since you want to be a columnist, you might have to have a really good grade in english and history. Every other thing still needs to be good, but those are the main ones. If you want to go to NYU, then you need to have very good grades, even though you want to be a columnist. hope this helps :-)
